I am actually going to go out on a limb and pick a kid I saw about 8 years ago on his first night live. He was the lead singer of a band called Recipe From a Small Planet, named Jay Crocker or it looks like Jason Crocker now on google. I was just there to drink but he was unbelieveable and only 18ish (I imagine that is what his age was). I am dissapointed to see he is still in Calgary, because I think he needs to leave her to become something.

I still remember Leslie Feist screaming at the top of her lungs with Placebo in Calgary, he has to get the hell out of Calgary, just like she did.

Interesting, I found his site too...

Good call, I remember Recipe for a Small Planet. Still have one of their CDs kicking around somewhere; musically great and very good performers. Looking at his bio now, I'm reminded a little bit of Tomko Lamb, who was great when he was with Difference Engine, and then set out to find himself musically, and spent a lot of time busking with his hammered dulcimer. And as much as his dulcimer stuff is nice, it doesn't seem like he'll become what he could have if he had chosen a different direction.
