A traffic rank sounds like it's just a comparison with other sites, so in their list of sites we're # 115,423rd in terms of traffic.
As for hits, we get a lot
I added a few features to the front page of the forum a while ago actually and was surprised no one noticed them.. it shows the # of members that have visited and the # of guests that have visited within the last 24 hours. They show up right below the display of currently active users.
Hits is kind of a meaningless stat for forums, since people are constantly clicking on the site, but I like that list of # of unique visitors.
