I still loathe using a temperature for wind chill factor. Temperature of -44 with no wind feels way different than the wind chill the way it is now. Plus it gets people saying things like "Got to -44 tonight." or "It's supposed to go down to -44 tonight" when wind chill is very different than temperature.

Agreed. Every single time I talk to my mom about the weather, I have this exact conversation:
me: "What's the temperature?"
her: "-20 with the windchill."
me: "I don't care about the windchill. I asked what the temperature is."
