Default I hate going to the movie theatre

So, last night a couple of buddies and I decide to go and see "There Will be Blood" at the local Onex owned theatre.

Anyway, again, as with the last time I saw a serious "art" type of movie at the theatre, I realized why people download movies, or wait for DVD and watch them at home.

First of all, there were these two a-hole kids who had booze with them, who decided to drink, talk at a regular volume, comment on everything and act like dicks, for the sake of acting like dicks.

Second, there was a group of guys who were just unsophisiticated. Laughing at inappropriate things, as if it was a comedy because they didn' get it. Texting on their cellphones etc.....

I had a similar experience seeing Pan' Labyrinth last year. After the movie, my friends talked about how once we get a home theatre, the entire going to a movie experience will be lost.

I know the MPAA spent a lot of time last Oscars stroking each other about you can't replicate a movie experience by having a 40" Plasma and a Dolby home theatre. They were right, unless I invite some ######bags over it won't be the same.

That being said, I don't care if I see transformers, or some popcorn flick in the theatre, but for anything remotely serious, I"m pretty much done.

Oh and this doesn't even begin to address lining up hours before hand.
