What a bizarre game. This was Caron's first start since a loss to the Jets. Legace had started the last 21 games!! Caron played well and turned in a perfectly acceptable 24 save effort.
The story of this game was the Dallas powerplay. Not only 4 goals on 7 powerplays, but the scorers of the goals. Exelby had 2 PPG's!! Bayda had a powerplay goal!

Jason Smith has been a Star for 5 games. The Stars have won 4 and Smith has scored a point in all 5. Today he and Cullen set up Laraque for a SHG (WTF? How did Laraque get on the ice?)

Matt Cooke is still on IR and won't play. Ryan Bayda got hurt on a retaliation hit for Bates injuring Visnevski. I don't know who I'm calling up yet for sure, likely to be Robbie Earl.
On the weekend I did some scouting and I've found two new rookie forwards that will hit the ice for Iowa in the next few days.
