Thrashers Unbeaten in 16! (13-0-3)

The Atlanta Thrashers continued their torrid pace to the season Saturday Afternoon by beating the Minnesota Wild by a score of 2-1 to increase their unbeaten streak to 16 games with a record of 13 wins and 3 ties during that span. The Thrashers outshot the Wild 34-22 and were led by Brenden Morrow who had a goal and an assist. Chris Mason has been on a roll and put in another solid performance making 21 saves.

"Anytime you face the defending Stanley Cup Champions, it's always a good test to see where your team is at. We played well tonight and beat a good team on the other side. We've gone on a good run here and we hope to continue that. The guys are playing with a lot of confidence right now. It's not just one line carrying this team, we have a lot of people stepping up for us every night. I'm happy for Chris to play as well as he has since Roli went down. Notes: Dwayne Roloson is almost ready to come off the IR as he is now day to day with a chest injury (up from 60 CD at the time of the injury to 94 CD now). Atlanta continues their 5 games in 5 nights tomorrow at home vs the Montreal Canadiens.
