I was there, back in August '02. I've been to about four or five NFL games down South, but Yankee Stadium was by far the best, and I'm not even really a baseball fan. Just so awesome to be there. You could just feel the history in the building, I'd imagine it's what it wouldve felt like to be at the Montreal Forum. The crowd makes it great too. A couple guys started doing the wave so we joined in. Just then, someone behind us - in a very thick Brooklyn accent - told us to stop doing it because "that s*** is Shea"(as in Shea Stadium, where the Mets play). To this day I still quote that, awesome!
We all had a great time, and the place exploded when Bernie Williams hit a gorgeous shot to deep centrefield to tie the game in the bottom of the ninth. I didnt know a baseball crowd could get that loud, it felt like the stadium shook.
