I'm really liking JPs lateral moves this winter. Although Ted doesn't seem keen on giving him more jack, he seems to have improved his team. Unfortunately the Jays didn't really improve upon their weakest department - starting pitching. However, I'm not gonna get on JP for this, as these days pitching seems to be at a premium in the MLs. Also, adding a gold glove to the infield can only serve to help the pitchers.

If the arms can stay healthy, the bats work like they did last year, and the bullpen continues to dominate, the Jays could make a run at that coveted WC. It all comes down to continuing to work hard through the last 60 games. I think if they repeat what they have done for the past 3 years (stay within stabbing distance and then completely fall of the map in august), Gibbys job is as good as gone.
