My girlfriend bought me the book and I was skeptical that it would just be another collection of unfounded accusations and excessive criticism of wrestling that I starting reading hesitantly.

After 500+ pages I flipped back to page 1 and started again - the first book I've done that with. The fact that Bret is so critical of himself and how throughout the years, you can tell how torn he is between hating wrestling and being loyal to it (especially Vince McMahon and Stampede Wrestling - Bruce/his father) makes this book interesting and genuine.

Readers who grew up in the era of Stampede Wrestling and/or Bret Hart's glory years in the WWF (the 90s) are fortunate to be able to add their own memories to the book.

I just finished my second read and it was great - definitely a must if you were a fan of the WWF or if you just want an interesting read.
