I agree with you. What I meant was the BCS doesn't give us a true winner in college football so the only purpose really of those games is to generate revenue.

A playoff would create a lot of interest and my preference would be a 16 team format including the 11 conference champs and 5 at large teams.

Bowl games can still be played. A lot of us watch most bowl games just because we like college football so I think they will get the exact same attention that get every year. When the game is on it gets watched after it ends we forget about it.
