My team is the Jays,but used to be the Expos. Canadian eh!
But really I cheered for the Yanks,no more, and the Braves,Milwaukee that is.
But always loved the Cards,too.
As far as picking a team goes that is pretty tough.
Baseball is so many different things to so many people.
Lot's of great history. Too many books to list.
Instead grab Ken Burns baseball video.Wonderful account of baseball's history,fascinating actually.
Edit sorry I forgot to say that baseball gives you time to do other things.
