Good start to the season for both.

Ames was better tee to green and if his putter hadn't left him on the back nine yesterday, he would have won going away.

Weir wasn't as solid tee to green but was able to pull out some real clutch par save putts. If that putting keeps up he'll have an awesome year. He seemed to struggle on the weekend with his 100 yards and in shots - something which he is usually one of the best at. He'll be fine.

Ames though really impressed me. He always seems to play better on the more difficult courses. It would not surprise me at all to see him win a major this year, or a couple of regular wins at tough courses.

I'm excited for both. Good start.
