BTW, just because your assessed value goes up does not mean your taxes go up. The tax rate gets adjusted downward to reflect the increase in average property values.

Thats excatly right... I'm in one of thoes communites in the deep south, so the average increase in Assessed value has jumped substantially seeing as most of the assements last year were for "Builder purchase" price. So last year you guys were subsiding my property taxes... looks like this year I'll be paying my fair share back
