It's not being nitpicky. It's just being wrong.

There is a difference between charging .50 cents and 50 cents. If you're charging one and saying it's the other, you're advertising the wrong price. That's like saying there's no difference in charging 15 cents a wing and $15.00 for a wing. If you say one and charge the other, people will get pissed.

Edit: Can they not just put in $0.50 per text? Can someone really get that confused? It would think that's way clearer than this stupid .50 cents and 50 cents argument.
