Oh, so much to reply to here:

I've had it both ways--in THEORY, guys seem to like the idea of a girl who is enough into sports to buy season tickets, on her own, for her hockey team, as I have currently.

But the minute you start talking sports to them, things change. They challenge you, and if you challenge back, they start getting weird. As someone mentioned above--it's intimidating for a girl to know more about sports than a guy, I even had one TELL me that. And I refuse to ever be the girl who bites her tongue just to attract someone--if you don't like me for who I am, then screw it.

I've been single for years--I've had options, I just don't care enough to go after them, no one has impressed me that much. I'd rather be single and potentially lonely, than settle for someone and be miserable.

Also--God forbid if you're a female and happen to mention if such and such a player is hot. No matter how much you know about hockey, so many guys take that as an instant "Oh, just a puckbunny" sign. Which just kills me. Guys don't go to games just to see the Ice Girls--but they're sure as hell going to notice if one is hot. So why can't women get the same standard?

Oh, and also, on the swearing thing. Um. Oops. I'm really bad about that, especially when driving. Little bit of road rage.
