I woudn't go that far. Personally I would like to see him go. The fans in Kansas City would like to see him go. Fans in Kansas City are very fair weather. When the Chiefs are winning the stadium is full. When they are losing it is empty. Lamar Hunt is know for being very loyal. Now that his son Clark has the reins, it looks like he is very much like his father.

Carl Peterson gets a bit of a pass, from Clark I believe, since Arrowhead stadium was playing to about 30% capacity before he got there. Since then Arrowhead has turned into one of the loudest stadiums in the league and is know for having a great atmosphere. Sold out every Sunday for many years in a row. Obviously this season that wasn't the case. And it showed in the teams final home games with the stands half empty.

Peterson allways keeps the fans in Kansas City believing that they are just a year from getting the Lamar Hunt trophy. I beleive that is why he allways plugs in a veteran QB instead of developing a young QB. He keeps the Chiefs in the playoff hunt every year. Which keeps the fans believing and buying tickets. Well you can't sugar coat what the current Chiefs are. It is going to hurt the teams bottom line keeping him around since it is obvious that this team has zero chance of being a contender next season. His 18 year plan has failed. Time for Clark Hunt to grow a set and give Carl his walking papers.
