It would depend on the channels you are watching and the program.
Channels 200 through 221 are 1080i, however many programs are still
SD (480). 221 is the only one that broadcasts all shows in 1080i.
If you go to channel 46, what does it say at the top?
Does your TV support 480p?
I believe the default for Shaw HD boxes is 480i for SD channels?
If so, follow the instructions "
Optimizing Your DCT For High Definition TV"
in your user manual. Check the "4:3 Override" setting,
and set it to 480p for your HighDef TV.
