This is Jade. She is no longer with us, we lost her a year ago to cancer. She was the dog who kept the coyotes off our yard, fearless, she got in tussles with the coyotes, you could see them rolling around and fighting and the coyote always ran off, tail between his legs. She lost 2 teeth fighting with the coyotes. The first thing she did every morning when we let her out was run to the crest of the hill in the front of our property and run back and forth, doing her coyote patrol routine. She killed a badger once too. Needless to say, stray tomcats were not a problem
)) Unfortunately, she was not lucky at all with skunks, she never figured out what tactic to use with them and until she got older, she had smelley episodes with skunks 5 or 6 times a year and was then relegated to the barn for sleeping until the smell was tolerable
