Why do the bigger the vehicle the less likely the need to signal or shoulder check for a lane change.

The angrier a person gets the more likely they are to make a mistake. The bigger the vehicle, the more they feel invulnerable, so why should they bother signalling etc. I ride a motorcycle and try to avoid SUVs, minivans[distracted mothers], Volvos , drunks and other erratic drivers. Now that I live in a rural area I hate going to the big city.
