Well, I'm not allowed to wear jeans in my office outside of Stampede week.
If I got twice the wear out of a pair of jeans I would probably be willing to pay twice the price, but jeans aren't really a fashion item for me, they are a comfortable pair of pants that I can do yardwork in or just wear around casually going out for beer with friends.
My recent pairs have been very cheap, and I haven't gotten the wear out of them I would like. I want to buy a better pair, but I can't picture a scenario where I would pay what some folks on here have paid. Perhaps if I had a job where making an impression on casual Fridays would matter, but my casual Fridays mean I don't need to wear a tie (and none of my bosses even come into the office on Fridays).
