As far as I can tell, the sugarcane and samurai are essentially the same jean as the LVC 1947 in terms of cut, w/ disputed differences to quality. The LVCs I currently have are a 34 (although they did shrink to a 33) and have some descent stacking. Yes I did shrink them in my bathtub... i rent in a really crappy place, so wasnt to worried about getting die on the already messed up tub. These jeans had a ton of die too. I accidentally shook them while they were soaking and it got die all over the leather patch. Fortunately there was more than enough indigo to spare. I've washed them once since I bought them too, and they are now the best fitting pair of jeans I have ever had. Really happy w/ them
Maybe your right, if I wanna throw a grey or black jean in my mix the best alternative might be just prewash. I hear good things about the skulls, although I'll probably have to try a pair on before buying... which means no online discount.
