It is the real debate. That's why we'd like to see a real punishment handed down instead of the half-assed one we know he'll get. Until society as a whole knows you don't get any second chances with an act like this, they'll never start taking it seriously. Start making an example out of these losers instead of slapping them on the wrist. The justice system in this country focuses too much on the criminal and more often than not, completely forgets about the victim.
