Rightly or wrongly, who he was, what he was and why he was that way is legitimate fodder for comment.

I know, it really boggles my mind. I'm sorry to be repetitive, but with his past troubles, at the very least, ask him what he is doing with a gun like that. I would have called the cops on him. Holy gun culture that something like that did not raise alarm bells with her.
