I started brushing his teeth when he was a kitten so he is used to it. I use a small cat tooth brush and use cat tooth paste that is malt flavor. he seems to like the tooth paste because he comes running to me when i have his toothbrush out. I probably could do a better job but vets say anything is better than nothing. I usually try to do it everyother day at least and its just a quick twice over on each tooth.

(Ill lay him on his side and sort of pet him / hold him down then flip him to his other side to get the other side of his teeth.)

He only eats dry food as well which is supposed to be better for their teeth as it cleans them and doesnt stick as wet food does.

It may sound like a lot of work but as a kid we had a cat who ate moist food, didnt get his teeth brushed and didnt get them cleaned at the vet. He was healthy but got terrible dental problems and it made it difficult for him to eat and was not a good situation in general. So thats why the extra care now.
