I noticed a black spot on the surface of my cats teeth. Its sort of a hole that looks like a round hole about the size and depth of a pinhead and is black around the edges. Its on one of the back teeth in his mouth and the "hole" itself is about half between the top of the tooth and where the gumline.

It doesnt seem to be causing him any pain and he let brush that tooth while I brushed the rest of his teeth. he also hasnt lost any weight or changed the way he eats.

Ill take him into the vet soon but im wondering if this is a cavity or an absess or what? While searching online, i read something about FORLs... is this a possibility?

Any vets on here want to give a quick diagnosis or point me to an online resource?
