They should just stop counting after they are up by 10. Little kids shouldn't have to put up with a beating like that. "Humiliation" isn't a lesson anyone has to learn. Sportsmanship is though. Even if it looks like you are "playing down" or "not really trying", that's better than just working your opponent over to get the score up as high as you can.
