With no exaggeration, once I hit got to Cranston on 22x I could not move faster than 10km all the way up Deerfoot and down Barlow until I was passed Glenmore.

Does not amaze me even in the slightest. On a dry day with perfect weather the traffic is snarled on a regular basis. There are simply way too many cars on the road and the transportation system isn't up to it. Acccidents galore. Then you add some slippery conditions which slows takeoffs from every intersection plus everyone is approaching those same intersections slowly afraid some idiot not driving for the conditions will ram them.
I go into super defensive mode when it snows. Look at the legion of dummies on the road who follow on your bumper, don't signal etc. etc. etc. They drive the same way in any conditions as they are more than obviously brain dead wonders.
There is no amazement -- you have to factor in the conditions and add the IDIOT quotient which adds up to a slow drive.
