I wasn't let down, but I wasn't blown away by it.

I loved seeing the old Cylon batwing, to me they just look like a more lethal fighter then the new one. I also loved seeing the old Centurions, except that they seemed way to agile and quick. I was hoping that we would see the old two dinner plate base star too.

Was the old man truly the Cylon hybrid? I don't think so, I have my thoughts on that one, but I'll keep it to myself for now. I think the key phrase through the last year is going to be "It happened before, it will happen again"

Shaw to me was more annoying then anything else, Cain talks about the razor and being able to rise above your hestiations and emotions to complete your mission so that you can at least go back to being human. But you never got a sense that Shaw was anything more then self pitied, and a huge suck up. I was also hoping for more conflict from Cain, or something that would make sense to her actions, and they had real opportunities to really drill into that, but they really didn't.

They never did show how she got Cain's knife, which is too bad because they took great pains in the handoff to Starbuck.

Was the warning about Starbuck an actual prophesy, or was it more Cylon games?

Six was hot with the whole red hair thing, but again they really brushed past the torture aspect that would have made Cain seem even less human. Especially if she watched it. Again they showed Six sitting on the floor looking up, then the next time we see her she's got a bit of blood but is nowhere near the catatonic state that we saw her in the series.

Really missed seeing any trace of Baltar which is a shame because he could have been a central character to the whole conflicted humanity story.

Again it was ok, not great, didn't really create a ton of anticipation for the last season.

The term I'd call it is Galactica Interruptus.
