I wholly agree. People need to be better educated as to why things happen instead of taking out their frustrations on the most available people around. Many times, situations can be completely diffused by just explaining to the consumer what is actually going on. Although there are the random jerks that make life a living hell.
I throw out complaining to head office because it directs the negative energy to an entity more able to make changes. I'm sure that they know consumers are unhappy, but in this way, there's more pressure so the companies will maybe adjust sooner rather than later.

huh...you worked at hallmark? Not sure if it was you, but while lining up I saw a customer bitching out this cashier once. In an attempt to break the customer's ranting and give the cashier a break, I yelled out "HEY, STOP HOLDING UP THE LINE!" He was a bit freaked out cause he thought I was gonna kick his ass.
