I have lived in obv Calgary as well as Vancouver and Victoria. And i agree the sunshine trumps the rain and cloud.
The weather in Victoria is def better than Vancouver, it doesnt rain as much which is a huge plus but it is still gloomy and depressing.
Vancouver although the temperatures are still pretty mild..it rarely gets too hot 25+ and is still cloudy and raining in the summer alot too...The winter is just a depressing nightmare...it can be cloudy and rainy for weeks on end..and it also does snow at least a couple times each winter and does it get cold..i mean +3 in Vancouver feels alot colder than +3 in Calgary...In fact in Calgary after a few days of -20 weather...-10 feels great...
Calgary always sunny and sometimes cold...
I like to measure weather on the number of days i would enjoy being outside...and calgary def takes the cake over Vancouver...there is just more days of sun/mild temps in Calgary..i dont want to be outside in the cloud and rain
For Kelowna great summers, but again the winters cloudy and cold.
