Being a police officer is something I couldn't do, but respect those that are.

You see the 10% of the worst things that happen, 100% of the time. But at the same time, the respect from the community as a whole would be nice I would think (when I worked the CIS Soccer Championships I just let the police officers in for free, they're gonna scratch our backs, I'm gonna scratch theirs). Any dealings with the police I've had have been positive, from being carted around in the back seat on my 18th birthday (it was for school), to giving the statement about my car accident, to even turning over security tapes, they've been positive.

Mind you I don't live in Calgary, all the cops there could be ######bags :P

Actually, the one time I dealt with the Calgary Police Department, they were awesome. I was on the red mile and had no idea where I was going. While watching the crowd I went up to one guy and said "excuse me, but I'm not from around here, how do I get to the closest C-Train station?" He was super in giving directions and being friendly in the process.

Good Luck (and only give warnings to skinny white boys with glasses from Nova Scotia)
