That's because Jeter has won multiple championships for the Yankees (including being a World Series MVP for them). Also since A-Rod became a Yankee he has hit .244 in the post season compared to Jeter's .291. Jeter is for the most part consistent while A-Rod has wonderful regular seasons and then tanks in the playoffs.
