I don't see why Arod did this. As if the Yankee fans need yet ANOTHER reason to hate the guy.

Not to mention he really screwed the Yankees out of like an extra 8-10 million a year which Texas was paying on the previous contract, which they don't have to pay.

Why not trade and lock up the much younger Miguel Cabrera, the 2nd best 3B in the league (with all due respect to David Wright), a guy who could be the cornerstone of your franchise for another 15+ years. Arod isn't old by any stretch, but I think a fresh start is better for all parties involved (and for the Jays!).

And CMP, why is that so mind blowing? He is the best player in MLB hands down and not to mention, a much better SS than Jeter.
