Wow. And I stop reading right there. Someone telling me how to drive that doesn't even know what a merge sign looks like.
That sign means the entering lane begins as a second lane on the roadway. You may continue in that lane with worrying about merging or yielding. I'm stuck behind people at one of these every week as they are stopped and yielding to cars in the left lane, a lane which they will never enter as most of them turn right further down the road. They had one of these on Crowchild at Nose hill during the interchange construction, and there would be a huge line of cars every single morning because of some jackass that thought it was still a yield, or didn't know what the sign meant.
