Default Lindros To Retire A Nord

The offseason was a buzz in Quebec about the arrival of "The Next One". And before the first puck was dropped, Eric Lindros was traded to Tampa Bay.

On the verge of retirement, and unable to actually dress for the team before his big announcement tomorrow, the Quebec Nordique have reacquired the rights to one of the games best big men, in exchange for the league minimum cap transfer of $0.01M.

"We owed it to our fans," claimed GM Prottotype, "we owed it to Eric Lindros, and we owed it to the history, and future of the CPHL to make sure Eric Lindros retired in a Quebec Nordique jersey."

Eric leaves the CPHL with 360 regular season games under his belt, 122 goals, 163 assists, 285 points and 616 penalty minutes over 6 seasons with the Leafs, Rangers, Panthers, Flyers, Bruins, Blues, Devils, Wild, and Bolts.

"We will be honoring Eric, after he makes it official tomorrow, by retiring his jersey to the rafters of the Colisee Saturday night when we host the New Jersey Devils." pronounced Prottotype.

The league was quite clear that Lindros would not be able to suit up for the Nords game against the Flames on Thursday, he would however be the first jersey to be retired on a CPHL team's roster page. An huge honour, no matter who you are.

The Quebec Nordique would like to thank Eric Lindros for his contributions to the team, even if it's been for a few laughs along the way. Thanks #88.
