If ARod does sign in Boston, can they really afford to have him? I mean I know it's a bottomless pit, but Ortiz, Rameriz, ARod, Beckett, Dice-K, and JD Drew all make big time money. Schilling was just reupped for $8 million (1 year). ARod's signing would officially hand the torch of the evil empire to Boston.
Personally, I think the Giants should make a big run at ARod. They need someone to fill the seats in their ballpark, theyre used to big egos, another homerun chase would be nice and that team doesnt have a centerpiece anymore (plus, I would be able to see him play a lot).
Anaheim, Texas, LA, Florida (ugh), and the Giants seem to be the front runners, but you never know who might come out of the woodwork.

how on earth could florida be a front runner? They sell every piece of talent they have.
