Used book stores in Kensington might pick up those National Geographics if they're older. I scope out the stores periodically and got one as old as 1929 once. Modern Geographics - 1970 and newer - probably don't have the same value, at least not to me.

I've got two original"Hillary Climbs Everest" Geo's from the 1950s.

Don't know about the market for other books but if you have some of those Time Life book series there is interest in that kind of thing if the series is intact.

I've got more than 1000 books I'm sure in my house but I'll die and let someone else worry about it. I agree with giving them to hospitals, senior lodges, schools, whatever . . . . anything but the burn bin.
