Just purchase a new car yesterday. Very happy.
But looking outside the window this morning, the 1st "real" snowfall of the winter reminded me, what about rust proofing?

I am thinking of getting Rust Protection for my new car (just the bottom of the car, not the body) due to Calgary's weather and the salt on the road from snowplowing. Just want to seek some opinions whether it is worth it or not on my new car. I know I will probably get a range of answers from "It is worth every penny" to "It is just a scam for dealers to make more money". So, convince me! If so, what is the price range of this treatment? And should I go back to my dealership to get it down? or at other locations?

Any opinions and advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks fellow CPers!
