Excuse me if my levels of sympathy for animal cruelty jokes are low. I've been volunteering as a dog walker at the Calgary Humane Society for a while and even at that low level you get to see and/or hear about some pretty disgusting acts.
That little catapult joke might seem funny to you, perhaps because you think that no one would actually do it, but trust me - people do things like that and worse to trusting animals everyday.
