Getting OT a bit here, but you certainly have a point there. One of my pet peeves is politically correct people leaping to the defence of individuals they do not know, and with whom they do not associate, in order to decry what they think is racist or offensive. If you're comfortable with different groups of people, you don't tend to be stilted and formal in your language with them, and often adopt terms which are usually used only withing that group. Something I've done myself (and been called to task on) on a couple of occasions.

On the other hand, in this context, I'm not so sure that's what Dog was up to.
