Depends on the shape of your eyeball... if you have an average corneal curvature pretty much most lenses work...
An 8.7 BC is a flatter fit, while 8.4 will fit a little steeper.... if your cornea is flat and you put a step lens on it, you will get discomfort as the lens will not move enough....
Do you have K values available to you ???
Honestly,,, your best bet is to get a good fit done, as messing around with different kinds of contacts is not really a good idea.
