Wild Find Offense
Reunited After 2 months
18 goals in 3 games.
2 wins and 1 tie.
Are the Wild back on track? They certainly hope so.
Indeed, Minnesota looks to have regained their form in the past 3 games. The latest result - a 7-1 rout of the Stars must be particularly gratifying considering the struggles the Wild have had against that team.
GM Grant Farhall was pleased.
"Certainly this is a team we have struggled against. In fact, in many ways our slupm began against the Stars when we only got a couple points in 3 games against them. So perhaps this win can be a turning point the other way".
Paul Kariya continues to lead the Wild offense with 2 goals and 1 assist. Other newcomers such as Jere Lehtinen and Tomoas Vokoun also turned in strong performances.
The Wild play next against another team they have struggled against - the Calgary Flames. Garth Snow is expected to get the start.
Game Notes
- Ben Clymer recorded his first point as a member of the Wild
- Dan Boyle is expected to be inserted back in the lineup after missing 2 games with a minor injury
- Keith Carney led the team with a +4 performance.
