They are a great team no doubt. Breezing through the regular season will help in the playoffs too. Dick Vermeil said that having the easy schedule the year the Rams won the Super Bowl made it easier for the Rams in the playoffs. The team isn't as worn down as your opponents who had to fight to make the playoffs.
I don't have the numbers in front of me. But I remember reading that the easiest schedule in NFL history (based on opponents winning percentage) was the 1972 Dolphins. If the Pats do go undefeated, it will be interesting to see what their strength of schedule will be considering the other three teams in their division may only combine for 5 wins total.
