I tend to find people like Klien overly opinionated and pushy.. I prefer to take a more balanced approach to what I read if it involves current events. To add in there, I'd also boycott Noam Chomsky, I find him to be the exact type of person Klein is.

That being said, I generally read mostly history and the most recent current events type of book I read was Christopher Hitchens book Love, Poverty, and War. Unless you consider Shake Hands With The Devil current..
