Edit: Pedro's cousins were definitely modern day gangsters as well and I'm sure there were other things. I guess it's set in the present, but just in a comically unstylish town.

Could of been set in the early 90's as Pedro's cousins looked like they were from the early 90's when the gangster image really blew up. Also the mixtape Napolean got from Kip's g/f definitely didn't sound like it was from the present. [/b][/quote]
The thing that really threw me off was that Backstreet Boys song. I think that's from 2000 or 2001?? I am sure it wasn't the 90's. So confusing!!
