Dude, iTunes can do it for you! It may take some time to process, but it takes less than a minute to get going.

In itunes, go to File - Preferences - Advanced - Import: Then change the format from AAC to MP3. Then hit select-all (ctrl+c) in your library and then right click and select "convert selection to MP3"
Do that, it may take a good couple of hours depending on you CPU speed and # of songs, but it will work. Each song will be duplicated, so your AAC ones will still be there and fine.
Once you are done, simply select all MP3s in your library and delete! (Sort by filetype or date added to get all the new MP3s together!)

Voila!
