4 Billion? So basically almost everyone on this planet was watching that event?? What is the current estimation of planet earth...5-6 Billion. That's pretty good then. The majority of this planet watching the games. I can see all the little African children and there parents watching in there grass hut. I can envision all the Middle East countries take a break from fighting to gather round the ol TV and check out some long jump. I can also envision all those empty seats at Commonwealth stadium, those orange seats sure stand out when not filled...I think things are taken a little out of context. I'm sure the IAAF have the potential to be witnessed by 4 Billion, but not a chance that 4 Billion tuned in. If that's the case then they must be counting viewers who tune in more then once. If I watched all 10 days I would be counted as 10 people. No way in hell 4 Billion different people tuned in.

perhaps thats what is meant. But the one thing that fat IAAF guy said, when he came here was that only the World Cup and Summer Olympics are watched more. Face it, the winter olympics r a joke
