Best CIS running back sure...and he's a good running back.
But he beat Eric Lapointe's record for yards in a season in 1996. Lapointe took 6 years after that to get regular time on the Als. The other marks he set in the CIS are also of players who did very little in the CFL.
IMO, I think as good as he is, his name carry's more weight out east, and thus more value. With Calgary ok at running back, and this guy may or may not being able to duplicate CIS sucess in the CFL, I have no problem with getting somebody already proven for the pick to trade down
