Sorry I'm getting antsy, it's just that on one hand you are walking the highground of blaming hollywood for settling for Asian stereotypes and no finding a Japanese actor for a traditionally Japanese character and then you continue on to denigrate the big asian actors that have for a sense "made it" in the international scene and disparage a great deal of Asian filmmaknig which you are totally ignorant of (where these actors actually have deep and dramatic roles that have been at international film festivals). First you say that it's sad that Hollywood has not come out with any big asian actors and then you call what asian actors there are for being defacto "chopsocky". What came first, the chicken or the egg? What a hypocritical stance.
Dude, you seem to be thinking I'm slamming Jet and Jackie personally, but I'm really slamming Hollywood and it's establishment. For Hollywood they do kung fu and aren't considered for anything else, bad remake of King and I and Crouching (sort of) aside. That's a diss against Hollywood's casting and producer decisions and not the actors themselves or their international accomplishments so I'm not sure how you're twisting me into being critical of their achievements.

I hardly think "SuperCop" or "Rumble in the Bronx" has opened up legions of acting roles for Asian actors. Why yes.... the other day I say a Hollywood movie where an Asian didn't know kung fu or was really good at math and science. Oh wait, I didn't.

I guess that's your personal view on the matter and personal perception of a word since all the references I find to chopsocky are to the genre, and not a personal insult. Google chopsocky and tell me how the word is used more often, genre or slur? I do, resent being called out as a racist on this by you since you seem to have gyrated my original well meant intent to highlight Hollywood's inequity into some crazy hypocritical stance. Since it appears we're not going to agree on anything....

Lets get back on topic, the almighty Trek.
