Easiest solution to make it switch at will.
Cover her standing foot with your thumb, narrow your vision so you only see the leg that spins around or cover the top of her body with your other hand.
Basically stop thinking about it as a 3D image that's spinning and see it as a still 2D image of a leg swinging back and forth like a pendulum on a still pole and it will switch. It switches at will for me depending on which way I want the pendulum to swing "first". If I want the swing to the left to be the first swing, she becomes clockwise. If I want her leg to swing right first, she goes counter-clockwise.
